LXG Motors Pvt. Ltd., a part of the Laxmi Group, has officially launched the well-known Chinese commercial electric vehicle brand Karry in Nepal.

During the event, two electric van models—Kevan 1 and Kevan 2—were introduced. The company anticipates these vans will be ideal for both commercial and educational purposes. Pricing is set at Rs 58,56,000 for Kevan 1 and Rs 63,06,000 for Kevan 2.

Tailored specifically for Nepal, these vans offer seating options of 15 and 16 seats. For commercial use, a grey-colored variant is available, while a yellow-colored school variant, equipped with enhanced safety features to protect children, is designed for educational transportation.

Powered by a 53 kWh LFP CATL battery, these electric vans provide a driving range exceeding 300 kilometers on a full charge. Both models feature Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors (PMSM), delivering rated/peak torque of 130/270 Nm and rated/peak power of 50/80 kW.

To accommodate Nepal’s road conditions, the vans have a ground clearance of 180 mm. They come equipped with front disc and rear drum brakes, along with advanced safety systems including ABS, EBD, and onboard fire extinguishers.
